Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American producer stage and screen actor best famous for her role in film in Ray Undercover Brother and on the television series The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actress and producer, who has been active in films theater and television. She started her career acting in the theatre but then proceeded to appear in many television series, mainstream and independent films. She came to prominence as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and also appeared in BET's acclaimed show The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also numerous nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995, she made her acting debut as Ariel in The Tempest as Ariel. Some stage credits comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Film-wise she's most popular for the roles she played in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her most well-known role is her role on ABC's crime drama High Incident.
